After a long, l-o-n-g winter there is nothing quite like being thoroughly saturated with green! And there is no green like “the green and pleasant land”. Just outside of London is an extraordinary place called Kew Garden. It has been in existence for 250 years and covers about 300 acres. It is filled with almost every plant imaginable.
Last week Richard and I jumped on a train in central London and in about half an hour we were soaking in the beauty of the earth in this spectacular place.
First things first though….a lovely little bakery that specialized in scones and clotted cream. Mmmmm!
As far as we could see, there was the soul-refurbishing power of abundant flowers, rolling grass and grand old trees.
Of course nature isn’t complete without the calming effect of water!
It was so calming that Richard just settled down for his afternoon nap. Couldn’t be a better place to drift off to dreamland…surrounded by the goodness of the earth!
